Scientific Activity in Geoenvironment
A. He (Mr. Guri) has accomplished Reports of Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) for different technologies applied here in Albania such as:
To give a real assessment “in situ” of the pollution potential caused by complex industrial sites and their corresponding technology such as in:
a. Chemical factories (leather processing, shoe processing, cleaning solutions, paints etc);
b. The food industry (oil, food, beverage and conserve processing etc);
c. Raw material exploitation industry (river carriers, cement, ceramic and marble factories etc.);
d. From the industry of research and processing of solid, liquid (hydro carbonate) and gas minerals;
e. From the oil collection and trade sites;
f. From the textiles, paper and plastic industry (clothing factory, packaging, plastic tubes);
g. From the pharmaceutical industry (drug collection, and production);
h. Livestock breeding (cow, sheep, hens etc).
For each of this technology is accomplished a report of EIA, which are deposited and evaluated as high quality in the Environment Ministry of Albania.
B. Studies to give a real estimation for:
1. A security landfill depositional sites of hazardous waste for whole Albanian territory; We are collaborator with the Chemcontrol Danish Company
a preliminary study. It is in process or in tender to CU.
2. A sanitary landfill site of Urban waste for Tirana, Durrës and Kavaja cities; He is a team leader in the final project “Sanitary Landfill Site for Municipal Waste of Tirana- Durrës-Kavaja region” managed by the “2K Group” Albanian Company
It is a final project, under the government control
3. A sanitary landfill site of urban waste for cities Fier, Vlora, Berat, Kucova, Elbasan
Lushnja, Saranda etc.
C. Studies for the exploitation of gravels and sands in the river beds. More than 2-3 studies and reports for each of the Albanian rivers (Vjosa, Seman, Shkumbin, Erzen, Kalasë (Sarandë), etc.
